Turn a Recording into Notes

Copy a completed recording transcript into Chat and turn it into notes you can verify against the source.

For the source and destination views, see Recordings, Chat, and Conversations in the Platform documentation.

Before You Start

  • Wait until the recording status is Completed and its transcript is available.
  • Confirm that the recording is approved for the agent you plan to use.
  • Decide which sections the notes need, such as decisions, owners, dates, risks, and open questions.

Follow The Steps

  1. Open And Copy The Transcript

Open Recordings, choose the correct item with status Completed, and check its title and date. In the Transcript card, scan the text for obvious errors and click the copy icon.

  2. Paste The Transcript And Ask For Notes

Open a new Chat, choose the agent for meeting notes, paste the transcript, and add the instruction from Try It. Select Send. There is no direct recording-to-agent button in this workflow.

  3. Check The Notes Against The Transcript

Check each decision and action item against the transcript. Correct names and dates, separate proposals from confirmed decisions, and keep unknown owners or deadlines marked as TBD.

Try It

Turn the transcript below into meeting notes with these sections:
summary, confirmed decisions, action items with owner and date, risks,
and open questions. Mark a missing owner or date as TBD. Do not turn
suggestions into decisions and do not invent missing details.

Check The Result

Every decision and action item should be supported by the transcript. Suggestions and open questions should remain separate, and missing owners or dates should be marked TBD.

If It Does Not Work

The most common problem is using a transcript that is incomplete, still processing, or contains uncorrected names. Return to the recording, verify the transcript, and copy it again. Next, learn how to capture a demonstration in Record Your Screen.
