Record Your Screen

Record one display with the Windows or macOS Desktop App and open the uploaded video in Siesta AI.

For the controls used here, see Windows App, macOS App, and Recordings in the Platform documentation.

Before You Start

  • Close messages, notifications, passwords, and any windows that must not appear in the video.
  • Allow screen-recording access. Enable the microphone or system audio only when you need and are allowed to record it.
  • Prepare the short sequence you want to demonstrate so the recording stays focused.

Follow The Steps

  1. Install The App And Choose A Display

Download the Siesta AI Desktop App. Choose the version for your computer, install it, open it, and sign in. If you already have the app, open it and continue.

Select Screen on Windows or Capture on macOS. Choose the display, then turn Microphone and System Audio on or off.

Try It

Record a short practice video with this sequence:

Open a blank sample document, type "Screen recording test", and close it.
Do not open real messages, customer records, passwords, or notifications.

Check The Result

The correct display should be visible, the requested audio should be present, and no sensitive window or notification should appear. Confirm that the recording starts and ends where expected.

If It Does Not Work

If no display appears, grant screen-recording access and restart the Desktop App. If the video has no sound, repeat the recording after checking Microphone and System Audio before you start. Next, learn how to find approved company information in Search Your Data.
